Spring on the Superior Hiking Trail
There is a lot to love about Spring on the Superior Hiking Trail: Rushing rivers, plenty of peace and solitude, the subtle shades of green and gray and - best of all - no bugs!
This photo always brings me back to the rushing waters of the Kadunce.
These images were captured while on a spring backpacking trip on the Superior Hiking Trail.
The Kadunce River winds its way through the Superior National Forest before flowing into Lake Superior.
Spring moss and lichen make up this magical scene.
Please don't step on this beautiful, slow-growing lichen!
