Your Student Life Coach Sarah VanderMeiden offers comprehensive educational and career services
for young adults seeking direction for their life and career.

Do you know a young adult who is seeking to find direction for their life, education and career? In my over 30 years of working with young adults, I have found that many of them simply need more information and guidance to better equip themselves to make these critical decisions. The current pandemic has added an extra layer of uncertainty as people consider their educational and career options. College-bound students are wondering what will happen this coming fall. Will campuses be open? If they are, do they want to attend? Is online education right for your student?

My name is Sarah VanderMeiden and my passion for helping young adults explore options, achieve academic success and find career direction was developed throughout my 20-year career as an advisor, counselor, educator and administrator in the college and university setting. I have helped hundreds of students overcome challenges and accomplish their goals as they move through every stage of their education and career.

For the past four years, I have helped young adults via the phone and internet as a College Success and Career Coach. I am an independent student services professional, which means my only focus is helping students clarify their life, academic and career goals as well as gain the skills needed to accomplish them. I also provide comprehensive career coaching services, from helping students clarify their life purpose and mission to identifying career options to learning job search skills including resume writing and interviewing. My services are delivered via phone, internet and e-mail and I offer free consultations to ensure I am the right professional to meet your needs.

For young adults at any stage, having access to sound, impartial information can be critical to getting a great start in life.

As Your Student Life Coach, I am available to assist you at every step of the way:

High School Juniors and Seniors:  Is college right for you? What other options are there? Assessing life purpose and goals, exploring careers and educational planning.

Gap Year:  Would you like to take a year off? Develop your strategy to get the most out of a gap year.

First-Year Students:  Adjusting to college life, successful study habits, time management, major choice, extracurricular involvement, social adjustment, making healthy and safe choices, transferring to another school

Second-Year and Beyond:  Major and career choice, leadership development, transferring to a four-year college

Life After School:  Career choice, job search, graduate/professional school applications, stress management

Coaching is available through the convenience of  phone and Zoom.  A variety of  Student Life Coaching plans  are available, including individual and group coaching as well as Webinars covering a wide-range of academic success and career development topics.

In our coaching partnership, we will work to clarify your goals and specify action steps on how to achieve them.  Since this is your life, and your education, it is ultimately up to you to follow through with agreed-upon action steps to achieve your goals.

As Your Student Life Coach, I consider it a privilege to partner with you to find success!
